Food that contains folic acid
The daily recommendation of folic acid intake for pregnant women is 600 to 800mcg. Studies showed that appropriate intake of this nutrient during preconception and early pregnancy can dramatically decrease the risk of neutral tube defects, (such as spina bifida) in her developing infant. Therefore, make sure your diet include good source of folic acid on a daily basis.
